What to do if you're in an accident

  1. Stop—don’t leave the accident scene.

  2. Get yourself to a safe area. If your vehicle is drivable, move it out of traffic.

  3. Get help for anyone who was injured.

  4. Call the police.

  5. Collect the following information:

    • Names, phone numbers, and insurance providers and policy number of other drivers involved.

    • Photos of your vehicle and the other vehicles involved.

  6. From there, you’re ready to submit your claim.
